Il Fiume Ayeyarwady & Mandalay
L’Ayeyarwady attraversa la Birmania (Myanmar).
Conosciuto come “la strada per Mandalay”, prima era la principale via di comunicazione del paese, è tuttora essenziale per il trasporto di numerosissime merci, primo fra tutte il legname, che viene inviato lungo la corrente in caratteristici convogli galleggianti. Il fiume è la vita per il paese.
The Ayeyarwady flows through Burma (Myanmar).
Known as "the road to Mandalay", it was in the past the main communication route of the country and it is still essential for the transport of many goods, first of all the timber, which is sent along the current on characteristic floating convoys.
The river is the life for the country.
